A Learning Procedure to Estimate Missing Values in Fuzzy Preference Relations Based on Additive Consistency

چکیده
In decision-making, information is usually provided by means of fuzzy preference relations. However, there may be cases in which experts do not have an in-depth knowledge of the problem to be solved, and thus their fuzzy preference relations may be incomplete, i.e. some values may not be given or may be missing. In this paper we present a procedure to find out the missing values of an incomplete fuzzy preference relation using the values known. We also define an expert consistency measure, based on additive consistency property. We show that our procedure to find out the missing values maintains the consistency of the original, incomplete fuzzy preference relation provided by the expert. Finally, to illustrate all this, an example of the procedure is presented.

Group decision making with incomplete fuzzy linguistic preference relations
The aim of this paper is to propose a procedure to estimate missing preference values when dealing with incomplete fuzzy linguistic preference relations assessed using a 2–tuple fuzzy linguistic approach. This procedure attempts to estimate the missing information in an individual incomplete fuzzy linguistic preference relation using only the preference values provided by the respective expert....
متن کاملA consistency-based procedure to estimate missing pairwise preference values
In this paper, we present a procedure to estimate missing preference values when dealing with pairwise comparison and heterogeneous information. The procedure attempts to estimate the missing information in an expert's incomplete fuzzy preference relation using only the preference values provided by that particular expert. Our procedure to estimate missing values can be applied to incomplete fu...
متن کاملA Group Decision-Making Model with Incomplete Fuzzy Preference Relations Based on Additive Consistency
In decision-making problems there may be cases in which experts do not have an in-depth knowledge of the problem to be solved. In such cases, experts may not put their opinion forward about certain aspect of the problem, and as a result they may present incomplete preferences, i.e. some preference values may not be given or may be missing. In this paper we present a new Model for Group Decision...
متن کاملMultiplicative consistency of intuitionistic reciprocal preference relations and its application to missing values estimation and consensus building
The mathematical modelling and representation of Tanino’s multiplicative transitivity property to the case of intuitionistic reciprocal preference relations (IRPRs) is derived via Zadeh’s extension principle and the representation theorem of fuzzy sets. This result guarantees the correct generalisation of the multiplicative transitivity property of reciprocal preference relations (RPRs), and it...
متن کاملIncomplete interval fuzzy preference relations and their applications
This paper investigates incomplete interval fuzzy preference relations. An additive consistency property of fuzzy preference relations proposed by Herrera-Viedma et al. (2004) is first extended to a more general case. This property is then generalized to interval fuzzy preference relations (IFPRs) based on additive transitivity. Subsequently, we examine how to characterize additive consistent I...
